The nation’s favourite 10K running event took place last week on Sunday 20th of May. The BUPA Great Manchester Run, an amazing event that has had over 250,000 runners participate year on year since its first staging in 2003. Since then an estimated £22 million has been raised for new equipment and technology enabling us to continue in the fight against cancer.
Previously thousands of TV viewers and spectators had witnessed Haile Gebrselassie win the event a consecutive four times. This year was no exception and saw Haile win for his fifth time!

On his maiden journey this year was Soreen’s own Managing Director, Paul Tripp who ran alongside a number of local business leaders, joined by celebrities from Coronation Street(pictured below).
Paul ran in the memory of Nick St-John Moore, HR Director, who sadly lost his fight against cancer earlier this year, finishing the race in 49:05. Paul praised the support he received from people who helped him to raise £2,760 for The Christie.
