With so many major sporting events in the 2010 calendar, we thought we would pay homage to some of the athletes training hard over the next few months.
Preparing to train for you first run or cycle, whether it’s for charity or pro-competitions, is a great way to meet new people but it’s not often fun when it’s cold outside and the thought of hitting the pavement is getting worse by the minute – at Soreen HQ we are wishing for some warmer weather too!
As well as making sure you stretch and warm up properly, any personal trainer will tell you that the correct diet is essential to keep up energy levels and is an integral part of the training. Soreen has always been favoured as a low fat, high energy snack, that’s perfect for all budding athletes and its new Fruity Five loaves and snack packs are just the thing for refuelling before and after an intense training session.
For those who cycle we had a TOP MALT LOAF TIP from one of our Twitter followers (follow us at SoreenHQ) who suggest to compress it in the packet and wrap strips around your cross bar on your bike. A healthy high energy trail snack! If anyone else has any tips they want to share with us we’d love to hear from you.
We wish everyone training for Sports Relief events on the 21st March the very best of luck and enjoy your Soreen! Do let us know what you are all up to and send us your photo’s to feedback@soreen.com, and we will post them on the site.
